Finding the Path, Telling the Story

First Phase of public art installed at Beaulieu,  White Hart Lane Entrance.

Created by Jane Ackroyd, the group of grazing deer are emblematic of family, and an historical reference to the park and hunting grounds of the Tudor palace. The sculpture marks the transition from White Hart Lane into this prestigious development and is the first completed element of public art for the site.   Jane was commissioned by Alison Turnbull Associates as part of the strategy ‘Beaulieu, finding the path, telling the story’.

To take flat sheets of steel and to cut, bend and weld it into a sculpture that eloquently expresses the spirit of the animal is the peculiar and particular talent of Jane Ackroyd. An eminent British sculptor, her work is well represented in private and public collections.   Jane exhibits regularly in galleries and solo shows as well as having many pieces of public art on permanent show.
